Description
We are a small two doctor family medicine practice, located on Victoria Drive in Vancouver, looking to hire a part-time MOA.

We are looking for a reliable and efficient MOA who has good written and verbal communication skills, and is able to function well in a collegial team environment. Proficiency with a computer is a must, and experience with OSCAR EMR is preferred. Speed and accuracy, problem solving ability, and sound judgement are essential.

Must be able to work Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (Thursdays optional). 9:00am - 4:30pm (hours are flexible to some degree).

Office is easily accessible by bus. $17-19/hr, depending on experience. Chinese speaking ability would be helpful.

MOA duties will include:

Coordinates patient care through the clinic – checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, and preparing exam or treatment rooms for the next patient.

Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.

Contact patients via telephone to relay information provided by clinic doctors as well as inform

patients about details regarding specialist appointments or other investigations.

Send specialist referrals and keep track of pending referrals.

Operates fax machines.

Maintains appointment schedule and manages recalls.

Maintains electronic medical record, including uploading and labeling reports into the patient

chart.

Ensures exam rooms are stocked appropriately and ensures that they are ready for next patient.

Ensures patient confidentiality.

Cleans and sterilizes materials and instruments, when required.

Performs patient prep procedures and documents findings on the patient record.

Prepares invoices and collects non-insured fees from patients or third parties, where applicable.

Orders and receives kitchen, office and medical supplies.

Performs all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required.
