Job Description

We are currently seeking to fill the temporary Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk contract position located in St-Laurent, Qc. In this role, you will be gaining experience in the AR/Credit team in a supporting role with administrative responsibilities.


Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk has the following main responsibilities:

- Assist in processing credit applications & bank deposits on a daily basis;
- Create and organize client credit files for review by Senior coordinators;
- Establish, develop and maintain harmonious business relationships with clients assigned under his/her responsibility;
- Ensure that receivable accounts under his/her responsibility are maintained within established credit terms and company policies;
- Complete regular collection activities and follow-up on delinquent accounts under his/her responsibility;
- Update all communications made with clients into the company's database for future reference and follow-up purposes;
- Alert and report to the Credit Manager on a timely basis of any issue in regards to accounts receivables that require immediate attention;
- Enforce credit policies and timely reporting of derogatory situations to the Credit Manager;
- Assist, when required, with preparation and verification of detailed scanning of invoice packages to VIP customers;
- Prepare excel reports and word documents for Senior coordinators;
- Process credit card payments, as needed, & apply funds accordingly to corresponding accounts;
- Assist Senior coordinators in various duties as needed;
- Regular weekly data entry;
- Occasionally, assist with reception replacement during vacation and absences of regular receptionist;
- Other related tasks and duties assigned from time to time.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

- Experience in a similar position, with administrative functions, an asset;
- Aptitude in working in a fast paced business environment;
- Good/ functional knowledge of Word and Excel applications;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Customer service oriented with strong communication skills;
- Person meticulous with attention to details;
- Team player oriented;
- High school diploma completed, or college degree, an asset.
