Job Description
Litigation boutique government contracts and business law firm located in Denver has an immediate need for a part-time experienced Paralegal to assist cases at the various stages including trial at the various Boards and Courts. Candidate must be highly organized with strong research and writing skills and fully computer literate.
Responsibilities:
- Managing files for litigation matters
- Intake and organization of voluminous production documents received from clients and opposing parties
- Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses and other litigation documents at the request of the attorney
- Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials to assist attorneys
- Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines
- Communicate with attorneys to assist in all aspect of litigation
- Must demonstrate experience at the various courts including boards of contract appeals, COFC and Federal Circuit Court of Appeals
Requirements: Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with attorneys and other office staff in a professional manner
- Ability to interact with Court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients in a professional manner
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team or individually
- Willingness to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, and
- Strong Proficiency with Lexis Nexus & Westlaw Edge
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge and successful experience in managing a full case load from inception to post-trial
- A self-starter with excellent verbal and written skills
- A college degree and/or Paralegal Certification is required
