Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Pharmacist to join our team at a local Independent Pharmacy.


Must be able to work onsite
Self-motivated with the ability to complete work without supervision under tight time frames
Maintains honesty, integrity, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times
Demonstrated practice of and high-level skill in multi-tasking, championing change, initiative, customer service, interpersonal relations including building relationships and resolving conflict, decision making, problem solving, teamwork, and verbal and written communication
Review prescriptions issued by physician or other authorized prescriber to guarantee accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
Dispense prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care via standard formulas and processes.
Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Work with pharmacy ownership and management on development of business
Be proactive in the development, production and promotion of pharmacy products and services.
Direct pharmacy workers engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals and ensure the responsibility, authority, and accountability of all direct reports is clearly defined.
Maintain established procedures regarding quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Help to ensure the site is in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and accrediting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the company.
Directly supervises employees in the Pharmacy.
Inventory Management.


B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD and two (10) years of related experience and/or training.Graduate from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Ability to think outside the box to solve problems and work independently on projects to complete them in a timely manner.
Current Pharmacist License (good standing)
Knowledge of laws governing drugs, pharmacy products, and third party plans
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work weekends and after hours as needed
Working knowledge of all government regulations
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Spanish skills preferred but not necessary
