Job Description

Job Objective:

This executive level position is responsible for the development and performance of all sales and marketing activities. Acquires and directs a team of inside and outside sales people and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes marketing and sales plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and representatives.

Responsibilities:

· Establish and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to ensure sales goals are met

· Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets, while expanding into new markets

· Develop and implement annual business plans and manage to monthly, quarterly and annual expense and revenue budgets

· Provide leadership, direction and management to the sales team in a manner that ensures exceptional service to all stakeholders and that produces market differentiation and competitive advantage

· Establish clear sales metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus; creates a companywide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance

· Collaborate with strategic partners and clients to research market needs and identify possible new product solutions

· Develop a strong team. Coach, mentor and develop existing professionals

· Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFQ responses.

· Travel as required to promote Tempeff products to representatives, engineers, contractors and end users

· Develop and manage tools to aid in sales functions (promotional items, software improvement and development)

· Track quote activity

· Set pricing levels in coordination with President

· Feedback field requirements to improve product and increase customer satisfaction

· Work in conjunction with other senior managers to develop the short and long term strategic direction of the company

· Budget Planning

· Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

· Report to the President on a regular basis on all aspects of sales functions.

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum reporting Schedule

- Weekly

o Quote activity - # of quotes, Models and $ volume

- Monthly

o Bookings for Month - # of units booked, Models & $ booked

o Releases - # of units release, Models & $ released

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Territory Sales Managers

· Inside Sales personnel

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

· Meets customer expectations regarding cordial and helpful responses to their inquiries. Target – 24 hr turnaround on any requests

· Maintains and grows sales to pre-set levels

QUALIFICATIONS

- 15 years of Marketing and Sales experience, preferably within the HVAC industry, or other related technical sales field
- Bachelor’s degree desired, MBA preferred
- Ability to travel extensively
