Job Description

We are looking for a mission-driven, detail-oriented, inclusive individual to join our team as a Communications Lead.

Key Responsibilities

- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage inbound requests for Code Mobile virtual visits in Salesforce and develop new leads for outbound outreach
- Track registrant and attendee numbers in Salesforce experiences
- Execute and manage follow-ups, feedback surveys, and analysis for all events
- Develop strategies to increase workshop registration and attendance, as well as post-experience survey response rates
- Using Google Calendars, coordinate schedules for virtual Delivery Teams, ensuring a fully booked roster of workshops confirmed in advance
- Ensure all Delivery Teams have the information required in advance of each workshop resulting in successful delivery every time
- Create meeting links for virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams
- Launch public experiences and monitor event registration using Eventbrite
- Communications & Partnerships:
- Coordinate private, virtual workshops for adult, teacher, and youth programs in partnership with educators, group leaders, and community contacts
- Work with community groups, schools, and districts to promote our programs and initiatives
- Research and develop new opportunities for the Code Mobile to attend virtual events and conferences in partnership with other tech-based organizations and community groups
- Increase access to computer science education through the coordination of our Laptop Lending program
- Steward educator contacts on their journey to learning and teaching code, and develop a pipeline of Affiliate Partners who are committed to delivering lessons to youth learners
- Represent us at events, conferences and other opportunities as they arise
- Internal Collaboration
- When needed, support the Code Mobile Educator Leads with live-online workshops as a virtual Producer or Mentor
- Work with Program Delivery team to develop special experiences and workshop series including youth Summer Camps
- Work collaboratively with instructors to determine which content is best suited for which delivery partners
- Support the development and execution of cross-functional events and projects by attending meetings, supporting on report development and sitting on project teams where applicable
- Gather and share testimonials and magic moments directly from workshops or through post-workshop communications.

- You can expect that this role will be both fun and challenging. You will help shape the role and what it takes for you to be successful
- You are fluent in English and fluency in French is an asset
- Must be able to provide a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable sector screening.


We are a remote-first team and our team members work remotely across Canada. With our hybrid model, our teams will have the option to continue to work remotely, work in our office from time to time, or work in the office every day (when it is safe to do so). Our office is located in Toronto!

This role may require some evening and weekend work. Some travel may be required if/when safe to do so.


This role reports to our Community Success Manager, Code Squad.
