We are a radical studio-accelerator hybrid that builds digital products, brands and ventures. We're a small team that's seeking a dynamic project and operations manager with experience overseeing team wide task flow, resource allocation and client comms. Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience managing technical projects, as a lot of our work involved web software development.

Are you the person in the room that can provide the kind of perspective that keeps work in the bounds of a scope but also supports a team's desire to deliver outstanding work? Do you know how to organize yourself, your life, your work and a team using software? Do you see the big picture but live in the details? Do you express yourself drawing charts, graphs or figures? Are you the person in the room that always takes notes and confirms details? If so, we want to know you!

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and implement concurrent projects
- Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define tasks and required resources for each project
- Coordinate creative, technical and strategy teams for project success
- Create, track and schedule project timelines and deliverables
- Monitor and report on project progress, both internally and externally
- Communicate with clients and key stakeholders as needed
- Assist with strategic planning for the business itself, as well as for multiple projects
- Other ad-hoc special projects and duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Qualifications

- 1 year minimum experience in marketing, business, communications, or other relevant field where you worked to organize a team
- Stellar written and oral communication capabilities
- Standard setting organizational habits with digital projects
- High degree of discretion and ability to exercise confidentiality
- MacOS/ Apple user, ideally fast learning, with an appreciation for shortcuts and automation
- Some code literacy preferred: HTML, CSS and JS in particular
- Appreciation for good formatting, some experience with markdown is preferred
- Experience with Git/Github, or at least a rough understanding
- Experience with G Suite (Google Docs, Mail) and Excel/Sheets (not required but a plus)
- Experience with Asana, Slack, and with common MacOS applications (not required but a plus)
- Experience in the Adobe suite (not required but a plus)
- Experience in a technical studio, accelerator or agency, or similar environment is preferred

Cultural Fit

- Be able to laugh at yourself (wit & playful sarcasm is a plus)
- Appreciation for learning about new industries, businesses and markets
- High vocabulary/articulate (with better grammar than the person writing this ad)
- Interested in technical aspects of web, but not necessarily a developer
- Self accountability and management
- Provide the team with perfectly timed .gif responses
- See the future and work toward a unified goal
- Casual on the day to day, polished when we need you to be

Note: This role is suitable for a full-time independent contractor interested in graduating to a full-time member of the team after a trial period. Candidates who live in Canada are preferred. We're a remote team for the foreseeable future, but most of us are located in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
