Job Description
Our Therapy Centre Institute is looking to hire a Speech-Language
Pathologist to join our growing team. We are a multi-disciplinary
therapy centre with speech and language therapy, occupational therapy,
ABA therapy, and psychotherapy.
The interested candidate has options to work with the pediatric population, the acquired brain
injury population, or both! You will have the flexibility to make your
own schedule (days and times). The position will be in-centre at our
Bolton office. SLP's who apply should have an interest in:
a) working with children aged 0 – 18 years with a focus on early
intervention, parent coaching, language delays, articulation, and
working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their
families; and/or
b) Working with the adult brain injury population (e.g., cognitive
communication, swallowing, voice, speech, overall communication)
For our pediatric population, the SLP job duties consist of:
* Conducting assessments for preschool and school-aged children
* Providing summary reports of goals and recommendations to families
* Planning and implemented intervention and parent coaching
* Providing play based, routine based, and family centered care
* Self-motivated and ability to manage a varied caseload
* Collaborating with team members in-centre (OT, ABA team members)
and from the community to provide multidisciplinary care
* Supervising CDA's
For our adult brain injury population, the SLP job duties consist of:
* Assessments and therapy in cognitive communication, speech, voice,
swallowing, and overall communication
* Development of treatment plans
* Report writing both for assessments and progress reports
* Virtual and/or community service delivery
* Return-to-work and school strategies and plans
* Self-motivated and ability to manage a varied caseload
SLP Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at an accredited
University
* Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists
and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
* Proof of personal liability insurance
* Available to work flexible days and times to accommodate your
clients
* Able to work independently, take initiative in tasks, problem
solve, and work collaboratively in a team
* Open communication style with team members
* Enjoys working with multidisciplinary team
* Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
