Job Description

Our national IT consulting company, is seeking a
Network Engineer to help our client on a number of IT
projects, including Cloud Migration initiatives.

Responsibilities:

* Analyze network performance trends, recognize opportunities and
proactively implement upgrades and enhancements
* Assess, install, configure, test, deploy, and maintain network
infrastructure hardware, firmware and software to better meet the
requirements of the customer for the Corporation
* Develop, draft, and finalize practices and procedures related to
the department with an adherence to industry and corporation
standards, as well as develop and maintain documentation supporting
these procedures and processes
* Proactively resolve complex technical issues and demonstrate
innovative thinking by regularly making recommendations for new
approaches to technical work and broader issues resolution through
continual quality assurance and produce system environment monitoring,
troubleshooting, tuning and capacity planning

Requirements:

* 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
* Work experience with current and valid Network related
certifications preferred (Cisco, FortiGate, HP platforms)

* Expert knowledge of the concepts, industry standards and
methodologies relating to high-availability network design,
implementation and configuration.

* Significant hands-on experience in full network life-cycle
management (design/build/operate/troubleshoot)

* Advanced multi-tenant virtualized datacenter design experience with
significant hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience on
all major router, firewalls and switch platforms.

* Expert knowledge and recent experience designing, configuring and
troubleshooting of the virtual networked environments including
virtual firewalls, virtual routers, address and protocol translations,
cross-environment routing;

* Expert knowledge and sufficient hands-on skills designing,
configuring and troubleshooting VPN technologies, including Cisco and
Fortinet IPsec VPN environments (pre-shared and certificate-based) as
well as Cisco and FortiGate SSL VPN environments multifactor
authentications\
* Design cloud network infrastructure on AWS platform to ensure
applications and services will be highly available, reliable and
scalable, and will provide a high-quality experience for end users;
* Audit, review, and report on operational and security status of
cloud environment, establish, manage and maintain monitoring platforms
and alerts
* Work closely with Information Security to secure IT cloud
environment
* Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of cloud
platforms and procedures
* Manage and maintain disaster recovery and backup services

* Expert knowledge of the network troubleshooting tools and recent
hand-on experience using them

* Sufficient practical skills managing network reporting environments
including syslog and Netflow/sFlow collectors, SNMP pollers running
under Windows and Linux
* Sufficient practical skills managing network terminal servers
* Good understanding with Microsoft technologies and platform,
including virtualization platform;
