Job Description
We are currently seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join our
Accounting Department
Accounts Receivable
Assist in the design and implementation of AR policies designed to
meet corporate objectives.
Process and approve new credit applications, assigning and updating
limits as required.
Approve or decline orders placed on credit hold (past due/over-limit).
Manage collection process to ensure minimum loss while maintaining
customer satisfaction. This includes contacting customers
filing with collection agencies, small claims court, etc.
Prepare reports to track and monitor progress on AR collection (i.e.
AR Summary, over 60-day reports, NSF cheques, etc).
Prepare reconciliation reports, as required.
Accounts Payable
Quickly & Accurately: Review invoices for accuracy, codes, recommend
for payment, take appropriate quick pay discounts.
Prepare cheques and other forms of payments for approval.
Prepare sundry returns and payments for various government agencies.
Prepare payroll for Controller/ Vice President for approval.
Day-to-Day Operational Efficiency
Maintain proficiency with AIMS system and other software programs, as
required.
Document and distribute correct coding of miscellaneous general ledger
payments.
Finance
Monthly balancing of general ledger to sub-ledger.
Complete daily deposit.
Create payment register, assess current cash flow position, recommend
pay run amount to Vice President, and assists with monitoring working
capital.
Complete and assists with monthly bank reconciliation.
Assists with other accounting tasks or special projects as required
for the Vice President.
Other
Generate vendors and dashboard reports monthly.
Act as benefits administrator and conduct other HR-related duties as
required
