Position Objective: We're looking for leaders that are well-seasoned
in a development civil engineer that are looking for their next
challenging project. Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the
Project Development Engineer will be responsible for leading the
contract administration and project management tasks related to the
construction of land development and municipal infrastructure
projects. Please include a project list with your application

project. This position is based in Vaughan, ON. Summary of
Duties/Responsibilities * Ensure project compliance with drawings,
specifications, and standards. * Assist with development of tender
documentation, cost estimates as required during construction stages.
* RFP development and negotiation of consultant and contractor team. *
Provide project progress updates as per defined cycles. * Coordinate
packages of work with the engineering team and sub-consultants *
Review the engineering and scope costs to complete projects on time
and on budget * Manage project documentation and data, including
drawings and specifications. * Oversee field activities from
construction to commissioning. * Manage resolution of technical and
administrative issues with project stakeholders. * Prepare drafts of
project reports for review and issue by project manager. * Ensure
conducting and recording of mandatory inspections and testing. *
Perform site walkouts and on-site coordination as necessary. * Process
progress certificates received from contractors as works progress at
site. Qualifications * Able to read and interpret Grading plans,
Utility plans, Site Servicing plans, Geotechnical reports,
Hydrogeological reports, and Functional service reports. * A
University Degree in Civil or Municipal Engineering and working
towards getting registration as a professional engineer. *
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the Province of
Ontario. * Some relevant experience as a Project Engineer. *
Experience working on residential and industrial subdivisions and site
plans. Experience getting infrastructure works assumed (Roads and
municipal Services). * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and
Excel. * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. *
Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast
paced environment. * Capability to work both independently and in a
team environment.
