Job Description We are looking for a Marketing and
Communications Manager to join our team of agricultural professionals
in our head office in Regina, SK. The Marketing and Communications
Manager must engage in the business, researching and understanding the
key factors which influence value for farmers, and use both
traditional and novel channels to communicate value to our farm and
retail partners. The successful candidate will assist the senior
management team in the development of our brand strategies, lead the
development of corporate and product marketing campaigns, plan and
execute communications efforts, and build loyalty to our company. This
position is responsible for leading the development and execution of
all advertising, content creation for brochures/seed guides,
preparation of basic product presentations, email marketing, social
media, website content, trade shows, and field tours. The role
combines the development of strategies aimed at attracting customers
to our company and our products, with the delivery of content that
builds product excitement and drives brand value. This position will
collaborate with staff and our shareholder network, to ensure that
marketing and its messaging are in line with market trends, our
strategic plan and our corporate goals. Duties * Planning, developing,
and directing multiple avenues of marketing strategies to drive sales.
* Develop and implement media plans that align with strategic
objectives and budget constraints. * Overseeing social media accounts
and websites to remain active, relevant and establish positive public
relations. * Implementing search engine optimization (SEO) in online
media. * Researching trends and new marketing opportunities, and
brainstorming ideas. * Analyze media opportunities and market trends
to recommend the most effective media channels and buying strategies.
* Create and manage marketing budgets, estimates and track and report
on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. * Develop and manage
relationships with external vendors, such as agencies, freelancers,
media partners, editors, and writers. * Utilize data and insights to
continually improve our value proposition. * Addressing problems and
troubleshooting campaigns. * Analyzing customer feedback and campaign
performance. Desirable skills: * Familiarity with Canadian
agriculture, consumer food trends and crop production considered an
asset. * Analytical - Ability to analyze available market intel and
translate that into strategic initiatives, effectively and efficiently
problem-solve. * Communicative - A knack for persuasive communication.
* Imaginative - Imaginative marketing campaigns to generate a wide
variety of new ideas and draw the attention of farmers. *
Interpersonal - ability to work with people in various roles,
internally and externally. * Decision-making skills - ability to
select from various marketing strategies to determine the most
effective approach for each campaign. * Organized - develop and lead
marketing and communication campaigns. * Personable - able to work in
a team environment. * Strong attention to detail. * Adaptive, agile
and work under pressure. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree A
bachelor's degree in a field such as communication, marketing or
journalism. Courses that focus on branding, consumer behavior,
communication research/methods, market research, sales, storytelling,
visual arts. Experience 5-10 years experience gained in advertising
agencies, marketing organizations, public relations firms, in-house
marketing or sales department. Experience in project management,
Google analytics and social media marketing, leadership, campaign
planning, marketing strategy, budget development, marketing
automation, public relations, and social media management are relevant
assets. Experience using platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite,
WordPress and Mailchimp, for example, are helpful. Knowledge of
influencer marketing, e commerce, and artificial intelligence are
assets.
