Job Description

A middle-size paving company is looking for an estimating/contracts
administrator with construction industry experience for full-time
position. The successful candidate is responsible for providing
on-going support to estimators and manage contracts.

Criteria for an interview;

· A relevant undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Accounting

· Minimum 2 years of working experience

· Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with deadlines

· Able to work accurately on multiple assignments on a timely basis.

· Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Major Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to;

· Create tender folders, make labels

· Read and understand tender documents for submission requirements

· Apply and obtain tender supporting documents like WSIB, insurance
certificate, bonds, H&S etc.

· Fill out tender forms by hand or by typing

· Prepare complete tender/bid submission packages

· Submit tenders/bids via email, website or hard copy

· Review estimators’ calendar to arrange staff to attend tender

· Obtain quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors

· Make follow up phone calls

· Review contracts, agreements and POs for accuracy

· Obtain contract documents, prepare contract submission folder

· Execute contracts

· Create project folders for contracts

· Create purchase orders for suppliers, subcontractors etc.

· Create sub-contractor contracts and agreements

· Prepare draft invoice template

· Log in contracts on master project file

· Review project progress with managers and update on master project

· Able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment

· Excellent problem-solving skills, able to work independently

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

· Proficient in the English language, interaction with customers and
