Description

Our client, a government agency supporting financial and payroll
operations, is seeking a Business Analyst (HR & Pay Systems) to join
their team. As a Business Analyst (HR & Pay Systems), you will be part
of the Finance and Compliance Department supporting the implementation
and support of Dayforce HR and Pay System. The ideal candidate will
demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a
proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully
in the organization.

Job Title: Business Analyst (HR & Pay Systems)

Location: Ottawa (Remote work is permitted)

Pay Range:$105

What's the Job?

* Support the implementation of the Dayforce HR and Pay System,
ensuring compliance with Canadian tax laws and government standards.
* Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to
General Ledger, payroll processing, and year-end tax activities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and
technical teams to refine and validate system solutions.
* Maintain traceability and version control of all requirement
artifacts using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
* Produce weekly progress reports and communicate complex technical
and financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

What's Needed?

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial
systems, preferably within government or large enterprise
environments.
* Deep understanding of General Ledger processes, year-end financial
close, and tax slip generation (e.g., T4, RL-1).
* Experience with HR and payroll systems such as Dayforce, Phoenix,
SAP, or Workday.
* Proficiency in requirement management tools like Azure DevOps.
* Knowledge of Government of Canada financial and payroll standards
is a strong asset.
* Enhanced Government clearance
