Technical Program Manager (TPM) (m/f/d) | Remote (time difference
within ±1 hour of Toronto)
Task description:
Start: ASAP / by agreement
Duration: Long-term project (multi-quarter)
Workload: Full-time
Location: Remote (within ±1 hour of Toronto)
Remote: 100% remote possible, occasional workshops if required in
Toronto
Languages: English (fluent)
Daily rate: 880$ CAD
Responsibilities
• Own and drive end-to-end delivery of complex technical
programs, from initial structuring through successful execution
• Translate ambiguous or incomplete inputs into a clear
delivery plan, including workstreams, milestones, and critical path
• Coordinate multiple teams and cross-team dependencies
across multi-squad environments
• Lead multi-quarter programs, ensuring alignment across
product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Drive decision-making processes and maintain strong
stakeholder communication at both engineering and executive levels
• Ensure transparent delivery progress through measurable
reporting and clear status updates
• Establish and maintain core program governance
artifacts, including RAID tracking, dependency mapping, and decision
logs
• Manage release planning and delivery sequencing across
teams
• Maintain a single source of truth documentation for
program progress, risks, and decisions
• Engage with engineering teams on APIs, integrations,
architecture constraints, and delivery risks (no hands-on coding
required)
Must-haves
• Extensive experience in Technical Program Management,
Technical Delivery, or Program Leadership
• 8–12+ years of total professional experience,
including 3–6+ years leading complex technical programs
• Proven track record of managing multi-squad programs
across multiple quarters
• Strong experience in program setup, governance, and
delivery execution
• Hands-on experience with program management artifacts
such as RAID logs, dependency tracking, and decision logs
• Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate delivery
risks and cross-team dependencies
• Strong technical fluency to engage with engineering
teams on APIs, integrations, and architecture constraints
• Clear and structured communication style with the
ability to simplify complex topics
• Experience in platform or marketplace environments is a
strong plus
• Strong sense of ownership, including proactive
decision-making, scope management, and delivering measurable
outcomes
