Description

Remote | Contract / Freelance | Approximately 5–15 hours per week

We are seeking a practical and detail-oriented freelance developer to
support and enhance an established internal business platform used in
a professional services environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving existing systems,
implementing small enhancements, solving problems, and helping
maintain stable application operations.

This is not a greenfield build and not a full-time role. We are
looking for someone who can become a trusted technical partner over
time.

Responsibilities:
• Implement small feature enhancements and UI updates
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
• Maintain PHP and MySQL functionality
• Support deployment of approved updates through GitHub workflows
• Perform basic Linux/VPS maintenance as required
• Assist with reporting and PDF-related improvements
• Document changes and deployment procedures
• Recommend practical improvements to reliability and usability

Required Experience:
• PHP
• MySQL
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Git / GitHub
• Linux fundamentals

Preferred Experience:
• VPS administration
• Apache / Nginx
• PDF generation and reporting tools
• Internal business systems
• Supporting live production environments

Ideal Candidate:
• Comfortable working independently
• Communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• Can work carefully in production environments
• Enjoys improving existing applications rather than rebuilding them
