As the Service Manager, you will work directly with the Franchise owner to assist in planning, developing, directing, and monitoring all activities of the business operation, attainment of goals, and maintenance of high customer satisfaction levels. You will also be responsible for safe operations as well as compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations.

Responsibilities include:

Greeting all customers that enter the shop area
Discussing with customers the estimated cost of repairs/maintenance work that is to be provided as well as the estimated time when vehicle will be completed
Advising customers of preventative maintenance or additional repairs that are needed
Selling service and maintenance to customers in person by telephone and other methods
Evaluating performance, developing, implementing, and managing action plans to improve processes and employee performance
Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the business
Assisting in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit level while maintaining customer loyalty
Ensuring shop/technicians are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as needed
Analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory on a monthly basis to maintain profit goals
Assisting in the training of support staff and techs as needed
Keeping ownership informed of all problems and potential problems involving repairs, customers, personnel, and equipment
Visiting current and future customers to discuss any issues and request additional business
Developing business relationships with vendor personnel that result in obtaining the highest level of customer satisfaction
Maintaining facilities in an attractive, appropriate, and safe manner
In addition to automotive experience, the Fixed Operations Manager must have the ability to influence the actions of others by building credibility through shop knowledge, effective recommendations, clear communications, honesty, and demonstrated follow-up on promises.


3 years of hands-on auto industry management experience with thorough knowledge of shop repair processes
Computer literate
Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Highly-effective leadership skills, including above-average communication skills
