Whom It May Concern,
My name is Reanna Cameron and I’m interested in your Administrative position. A little about my background, after I completed my International Bilingual Bachelor of Arts from York University in Toronto and quickly got a job as a Receptionist at Framestore, a major film production and VFX company in London, UK. I quickly worked my way up at Framestore in the year and a half I was there. I became trusted as the Head Receptionist, then took over as a Personal Assistant for the Creative Development department for a few months, and then was transferred on secondment at Framestore’s partner company, the Third Floor, where I worked as a VFX Production Coordinator. After that, I then accepted at job at the prestigious Soho House in London as a Member Services Coordinator, but unfortunately had to cut that job short, as I needed to return to Vancouver for personal matters. I then got a position at Hostelling International Vancouver as an Auditor where I gained financial skills. I currently work as a Casting Associate at Freeman Casting where I coordinate performers for television shows in Vancouver.
However, I believe this position would be exactly up my alley. First of all, I believe I have superior detail-oriented mind, partnered with many years of administration experience in many different compacities. I tend to spot problems before we got too far along and I am also often complimented for my writing skills, so I trust I would be able to communicate in a very efficient and effective way. I would also say I am naturally highly organized and possess lateral thinking skills. I was aptly able to handle all the moving parts around when I worked at Framestore as the Head Receptionist. For example, I handled connecting incoming clients for a staff of 1000+, as well as completing expense reports, and handling production needs from various departments. I would also solve any facility issues and often was the one to put out many metaphorical fires. This was all in a day’s work.
I currently work in organizing and coordinating performers for television shows in Vancouver. I believe I impress producers I work with due to my go getting nature, my excellent client relation skills, my ability to learn new programs quickly, provide answers and provide production needs quickly. I like to think I’m usually one step ahead and know what my managers need from me before they ask and believe I have a tenacious work ethic.
This position particularly interests me as I’m looking for a change of pace – in both work styles and industry. I am interested in switching industries as well as I would also love the change of pace to being able to work remotely. (Although I would still be a dedicated, on the ball worker as I believe I am now.) I believe I’ll adeptly be able to seamlessly blend all my previous administrative skills I’ve acquired in other positions and be an asset to your team. I’m also a very fast learner and dedicated to my ambition to work online and remotely!
With all this being said, I believe I would be an excellent asset to your team. This is clearly exhibited with my strong clerical background and the insatiable desire to grow in this new position. Perhaps I’m even the perfect candidate to grow with the company as it expands (I’m a Canadian citizen as well, so no worrying about visas and sponsoring in my case!).
Thank you very much for your consideration.
