Skills:
I'm agronomist with master and doctor degree in Soil Science, but I have been working in the last 7 years is Seeds R&D, most of them with corn and soybean crops. I have been changing areas constantly for many reasons - promotions, company mergers and personal decisions. Fluent English, basic Spanish and native Portuguese. My skills and responsibilities developed are:
• Experience in implementation of projects in different areas of Research and Development in Corn (Double Haploid and Marker Recombination) and Soybean (Seed Chipping) covering planning activities (labor, budget, deadlines) and team leadership;
• Solid knowledge of corn and soybean breeding process improvement and planning (workflow, reports, calendar and metrics);
• Efficient communication with several areas of the process aiming for objectivity and consolidated data management. Partnerships with several stakeholders (Research, Operation, Development and Commercial Teams) to ensure alignment with product concept and business priorities and needs.
I also believe that having worked in 4 companies with cultural differences (SST Software, Monsanto, Nidera and Syngenta) accelerated the learning process in some behavioral competencies:
Report to global teams developed high analytical skills facilitating communication and assisting in faster and more assertive decision making through data. Focused on results, planning resources and schedules to achieve goals and deadlines, but remaining receptive to changes and actively participating in the implementation of projects providing clear direction and observing the impact on the team during transition periods. Experience in conflict management, analyzing processes simultaneously in order to anticipate obstacles and develop contingency plans.
