Attributes that best describes:
I am Kibi Zhu, a McGill University U3 student with a major in Labour-Management Relations and Human Resources, and a concentration in Accounting. I am expecting to graduate in May 2016. I believe my great interpersonal skills, detail oriented attitudes, and office working experiences will make me a great candidate for HR related position.
First I have been working in McGill University Desautels Faculty of Management’s dean office as an assistant. I am mainly responsible for the development and alumni relations. Through this position, I have significantly sharpened my computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and alumni database management system; I have also improved a lot in my office related skills such as printing, photocopying, cold-calling for RSVP of events. I also helped with the recruitment process and made the first internship guidebook. But more importantly, the thing I learned the most from this job is how to work in a team environment with different people.
Moreover, I am a very detail oriented person. Last summer, I had an accounting internship in Kelin Environmental
Protection Equipment Inc., which is one of the largest environmental equipment companies in China. During the internship, I uncovered 4 major accounting errors that equaled a $50,000 discrepancy in A/R & A/P accounts. My manager is highly impressed by my detail oriented skills.
Also through the Trip to China program in China-Canada Junior Chamber of Commerce, I have done lots of logistics operation things such as Visa application. I assisted all 15 trip delegates to prepare for the Chinese Visa. I went to Chinese Visa center six times in total to make sure all the required documents were submitted. I am always careful and pay attention to details, and at the end, everyone got the visa and were very satisfied with our services.
Last but not least, I am a very outgoing person with a strong adaptive capacity. I believe you will feel very comfortable by talking and working with me as lots of my colleges do!
