As an experienced professional who has a nine-year history of translating from English/French into Italian for the industry and higher education systems, I feel I would be an ideal candidate for any position in translation. My education history spans across literature, linguistics, philology and translation; and the vast array of disciplines that I covered during my BA and MA studies in Euroamerican literature, culture and translation allowed me to provide both successful tutoring, teaching and translation services for over eight years at university level. I also worked as a project coordinator and translator for the Department of Antidrug Policies - Presidency of the Coucil of Ministers in Rome (Italy). In serving as a coordinator, I have been responsible for monitoring each colleague’s task progress, whereas as a translator, I have been responsible for the translation and revision into English of projects in the field of dependency to be submitted to the European Union.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Translation Studies at the University of Montreal and I am sure I have the training and knowledge to perform professionally every task I will be assigned.
I speak Italian, English, French and Spanish very fluently and some German. I do have a passive and reading comprehension of Portuguese, Catalan and Latin.
