I am a recent graduate of McMaster University. I received a BA Hons. in political science and health studies, as well as a certificate in leadership management in spring 2014. While attending school, I was actively involved as a member of the McMaster Young Liberals, the President of the McMaster Political Science Students Association, and the Political Science Student Representative on both the Experiential Education Governing Council and the Undergraduate Academic Planning and Policy Committee.
Shortly after receiving my degree, I accepted a four month internship position with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) in Ottawa, Ont. As an Assistant Program Officer in the Consumer Protection Division, I learned about the importance of food safety and agency business. One of my biggest accomplishments while working there was successfully providing a solution to staff that helped them to better organize files on the government's information management system.
Since then, I have relocated to Toronto, Ont. to pursue a postgraduate certificate in public relations at Humber College. I am currently completing the internship portion of the program at Jesson + Company Communications Inc. as a public relations intern, and will graduate in Spring 2015.
