Attributes that best describes:
For the past nine years I was the director of operations for the MSBN Sports Network. Working with a small media company such as MSBN, I have learned to not only work with the journalistic aspects of the business, but also in the areas of marketing, advertising and public relations, as well as many other qualities that would translate well into your multimedia communications specialist position. During my time with MSBN I oversaw all aspects of our 3,000 audio and video broadcasts per year, including pre- and post-production work, maintenance of equipment and promotion. While MSBN served me well for the better part of a decade, the time has come for a new challenge, though I continue to work with MSBN on an independent contract basis as a broadcaster.
In my experience working with MSBN and on other journalistic endeavors, I have become well-versed in multitasking and working on several projects simultaneously. I am also well trained to work across the different journalistic platforms, including web, audio, video, photo and magazine/newsletter formats, and have done so while working under pressure and on deadline. My experience as a journalist and working on live broadcasts has trained me to work with the public to give them the information they need to know in a professional manner, as well as build strong communication skills in both small and large groups. I tend to believe I am a creative thinker and one that can work well with a variety of different styles and groups to get things accomplished, and feel I have the ability to draw creativity out of others to create a better product as well.
