Strong analytical skills
I graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree (BMLSc) in 1988 at the University of British Columbia and continued my training in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and obtained MSc and PhD degrees in 1990 and 1994.
I was a Principal Investigator within the Faculty of Medicine for 15 years where I gained a variety of experiences in research, teaching, administration, leadership and communication. I have published 47 articles and 6 book chapters from 1990 to present.
I have extensive experience in writing and editing many types of documents. These documents ranged from lengthy complex documents such as grant proposals, journal articles, and book chapters to brief reports describing research progress and conference abstracts.
Working as a research scientist, I developed excellent organizational and time management skills. I led a research program closely supervising a variety of trainees and meeting grant and publication deadlines, while maintaining teaching duties and committee responsibilities.
