I am currently entering my fourth and final year at Carleton University in the Bachelor of Arts Honours, Communication Studies program. As my studies have become more focused, I have realized that I have a passion for marketing, public relations and learning how individuals connect and identify with brands. I am very interested in opportunities within these fields because I believe my strong communications skills would work as an asset and I am very eager to learn and gain hands-on experience.
As a Marketing Communications Assistant and Director of Communications, I have taken on many marketing and communications projects such as writing blogs, developing communications plans, re-branding two organizations, as well as developing and maintaining multiple social media and email marketing campaigns. These positions have not only given me the chance to work within a team environment but they have also allowed me to take on many independent responsibilities that often fall under tight deadlines, demonstrating my ability to work successfully under pressure.
Being an extrovert, I love interacting with people both on and offline and I want to utilize my interpersonal skills to engage individuals whether it be through face-to-face communication or via social media. Furthermore, I believe my drive and strong work ethic are what makes me stand out from others.
