Skills:
I have always found myself to be a very energetic and outgoing person, who is comfortable in public speaking situations. Since I was in middle school I engaged in public speaking and debating clubs and tournaments. I am 6’4” so I always stand out in a crowd, and I love it; I am very comfortable being the center of attention and my public speaking skills allow me to excel when I am. The past 20 years have seen remarkable technological advancements. Growing up during these years allowed me to acquaint myself with many technologies. I have used both Mac and PC, so I am “technologically bilingual”. I also have experience in photography and social media. I am currently planning on becoming a doctor; I have the intention of writing the MCAT this summer, because of this I have become a very focused and driven student with keen attention to detail. This focus, determination and attention to detail has transferred over to all aspects of my life. I always work hard and maintain myself in stressful situations. Since I was young my parents have taught me that being on time means being fifteen minutes early, because of this punctuality is very important to me. I am always striving to achieve and exceed my goals as I am incredibly self motivated. I am very enthusiastic about health and fitness, because of this I engage in a very diverse range of fitness activities. I play for the WASPS senior men’s rugby team, I enjoy cycling, running, hot yoga, hockey, soccer, swimming and of course regular workout sessions at the gym. I am constantly pushing myself to do more as well. This summer I intend to run the Manitoba Half Marathon as well as the St. Malo Triathlon. I also have experience working in service and sales industries. As a bartender I was always promoting new signature cocktails as well as promoting the bar itself through friends and social media. As a sailing instructor I was always excited to take students to regattas across Canada, this often meant pitching the idea to their parents and promoting the trips worth and benefits. As an instructor travelling across Canada I also became comfortable with frequent travel (I posses a valid license) as well as working on weekends and evenings.
