Venice Beach was our end destination today. Arriving in Venice Beach is definitely an assault to your senses. Loud noises from the motorcycles and car radios blaring, coupled with very colorful houses and people of all types and sensibilities, dotting the boardwalk. I kept looking for the infamous writer, Jacques Kerouac, convinced his spirit was living on Venice Beach. We were told by a frequent visitor of the area that the beach is safe to traverse while the sun shines. But come sundown, it's a free-for-all of alcoholics and drug addicts looking for their time capsule to return them to the 1960s.
