Before I became a tutor, I was a huge fan of learning. I didn't want a day to go by that I wasn't learning something, or I would feel like I didn't make the most out of my day. I started taking advanced math classes in elementary school, so I was typically two years ahead of the "average" math level.

Further down the road, I tutored students at the Boys and Girls Club (grades Pre-K - 12), which allowed me to experience teaching through various techniques, such as kinetics for a younger student or visual elements for an older student. I have also tutored students throughout my Junior and Senior years at high school (grades 9-12), where I specialized in tutoring student-athletes English Reading and Writing skills, as well as Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 courses. As a student-athlete myself, I understand the pressures of getting homework done before the "big game", but I aim to help students prioritize their goals correctly so that they have the best chances for academic success.

I am ready to share that knowledge, passion and confidence with other students who are ready to learn. I specialize in tutoring English Reading and Writing skills for all grades, mathematics courses (from basic math to Algebra 1), and computer software (such as operating systems Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X, and applications like Microsoft Suite). The best part about teaching is knowing that you're teaching them the right things to better their futures.

My goal for each tutoring lesson is to make sure the student can put in terms of something they have an interest in. For example, converting triangles in geometry to pizza slices. Keeping students interested in learning is the best way to ensure they retain the information, especially for my (unsurprising) pop quizzes! I also provide the students with biweekly progress reports so they can see their growth based on each lesson.

I am available online, specifically during the week from 9 AM - 9 PM (EST).
