Throughout my years of study and past experiences in the field, I acquired strong expertise in the areas of manufacturing, lean, quality control, simulation and operations research. My strong dedication to my studies allowed me to excel and obtain an accumulative GPA of 3.07/4.3.
During the manufacturing processes projects completed, I acquired the skills of operating
conventional lathe, milling machine and drill. Furthermore, during the computer integrated manufacturing
project, I learned the process of programming the CNC milling and turning machines, three axes. I also
developed the skill of using G-code language in order to create an efficient tool path. During the winter of
2015 semester, I completed a lean manufacturing project, which incorporates creating a future state map,
continuous flow, mixed models and pull systems. This project helped me acquire profound knowledge in
the implementation of lean concepts. I also learned how to be an efficient team player and an effective
team leader at the same time. In the summer of 2015, I completed a business technology class in which I
developed the skill of using the logistics, production accounting and marketing modules in SAP.
My capstone project is based on the inventory management and facility operations of a local retail
store furniture manufacturing company in Montreal. I created a process flow diagram illustrating how the
raw material and finished goods inventory handling ERP system should function in order to track raw
material and finished goods inventory thorough the facility and warehouse using Microsoft Visio. VBA
was used to validate and simulate the proposed ERP system. In the effort to introduce a push pull system
and reduce finished goods inventory, I created a flexible modular design of subcomponents that can be
assembled into different products using Solid Works. On the soft skills, this project strongly empowered
my team collaboration and integration skills. Therefore, I am convinced that I would be an asset to your
reputable team and incorporate my acquired skills to contribute to your company’s success.
As an intern in MCV, a multinational firm that assembles and services Mercedes-Benz buses and
trucks in Egypt, I gained experience in the mechanical engineering field. During this internship, I
developed strong communication skills with different levels of employees from managing engineers to
mechanics. Moreover, I expanded my interpersonal skills by being part of salesman team at a Volvo retail
I’m the former general director of the Institute of Industrial Engineers for the academic year of
2014/2015 and currently the simulation representative for the academic year of 2015/2016. On weekly
basis, I documented the events and meetings throughout the academic year and transfer the accumulated
information to fresh recruits for continuous improvements. Being part of this institute, I practiced my
social and time management skills where I completed my tasks while maintaining a good academic
