I began with a music degree and was an opera singer. My day jobs have mostly been in customer service of one kind or another. I was a manager in a university bookstore, director of Visitor Information Services at Stanford, also worked in the Lively Arts at Stanford assisting with major events, performances and dignitaries. More recently I was a barista at Starbucks - that was for fun! I like working with and helping people and specifically enjoy working/helping older people. They have so much to offer and are often ignored and overlooked. I don't see myself working alone behind a desk - at least not all the time! I'm loyal, I work hard, I'm creative and I'm a perfectionist - which brings up that dreaded question, "What is your worst quality?" The answer is that I'm not good at delegating because I always want things done right the first time, so sometimes I have a hard time handing over the reigns and trusting someone else to do it the way I would. I have 3 great kids - two in high school with special needs and one in college. That's me!
