Strong analytical skills
I am a third year marketing and sustainability student at McGill University.
I have always had a creative eye that I knew I had to somehow be integrated into whatever job I pursued later on. Furthermore, I am insatiably social and love to be around people as much as possible. Marketing fit these two characteristics perfectly because I was able to exploit my creative side while working and managing a group of people. Furthermore, the fast paced business world was always intriguing to a hard working person such as myself.
Last summer, I completed an internship as a marketing coordinator for the Olympic Park and particularly for their large outdoor OSM concert. I was in charge of all promotional materials for this event as well as a VIP area of 275 people for the Société de Transport de Montréal. This event was high intensity and fast paced, but it pushed me to develop some great problem solving skills. Also, the preparation leading up to the event necessitated strong organizational skills.
My most recent job has been as an administration and event coordinator at a small company that rents out LED screens around the US and Canada. Having been with them for 2 years and working so closely with the people running the company, I have learned how to take any task I am given, and accomplish it to the best of my abilities.
