I have had many different work experiences in my career. I started out in food service, working in fast food working into a management position. After 10 years in food I moved onto retail working in merchandising, customer service and cashiering. Setting up product displays and assisting clients with their needs.

Other career experiences saw me put my skills to work in a warehouse environment that included order selection and packaging for shipping and creating shipping documents. Working in the packaging and shipping areas of a bakery. Conducting product and supply inventory, ordering necessary stock.

After many years of varying jobs, I put myself through night classes while working full time. I studied Business courses with the focus on Accounting and Payroll and received my Accounting Certificate from NAIT in 2009.

These courses assisted in attaining my first position in an office environment. This position started out as Reception and filing and 4 years later I was the Office Manager completing accounts payable and payroll along with many other daily tasks.

That position has taken me into other offices and I have also been able to combine it with the retail skills that I have.

Currently I am working in an office using my skills as Receptionist / Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable and Data Entry.

I enjoy learning new skills and feel that is important to my personal growth. I work well independently but I enjoy the camaraderie and ideas that come from working with a group. I enjoy variety and look forward to new challenges.
