Strong analytical skills
I graduated last year with an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice . As a student of this program, I researched, wrote and submitted countless essays and papers on a number of subject areas within the discipline. As a requirement for the award of the degree, I had to complete and submit a thesis, as such I’m familiar with scholarly exposition of subject matter, providing background information, outlining purposes/aims, defining terms, reviewing previous research, describing methods, presenting findings, identifying gaps/problems in previous research, referencing, issues of academic integrity etc. I also proofread and edited my own work and assisted colleagues with theirs. I’ve always liked writing and it’s definitely within the range of my competence. When I worked as a tutor/instructor, I prepared lecture notes, quizzes, worksheets and sample answers for students. These I presented in a clear and digestible manner in order to help students succeed in their qualifications. In keeping with the norms of academic writing, I can communicate concisely, as well as with flair and enthusiasm for the subject I am writing about. I am able to think logically, write and re-write, do revisions and get the job done to provide quality work.
