Strong analytical skills
As a feminist and self-starter, I possess an ability to contextualize situations by experiencing them at the organization, societal and structural level before making any conclusions regarding findings, themes or solutions. This is demonstrated by my lived experiences in Africa and now Asia with survey design, statistical analysis, qualitative research and policy development, I have demonstrated this working with Afrobarometer and afriQuest in Kenya and IRI in South Sudan as Field Coordinator with Pechter Polls well as with Election Monitoring Organizations with NDI in Bangladesh and as a Research Assistant with RMC and University of Ottawa in Canada. I do believe I have a skill set that cannot be taught: patience, empathy, cross-cultural understanding and an open mind, I have a demonstrated ability to work with an extensive stakeholder community in Canada and around the world, with tact, diplomacy and good negotiating skills. As an editor with international organizations including the UN, I have a superior ability in writing reports and publications, including graphic representation of data in various formats. As an independent consultant I have gained excellent organizational skills and an ability to work independently in producing reliable, valid and accurate research and policy to a fully professional standard.
