Attributes that best describes:
I am the photographer and studio owner. We’re a boutique photo studio in Toronto that creates custom content for agencies, small businesses, yoga/fitness/wellness professionals, culinary artists and artists/artisans looking for high end, professional images for use on the web, social media and in print. As the images archivist at The Canadian Press (CP) from Oct. 2012 to March 2017, I managed CP’s digital archive of 16 million+ photos, as well as its library of historic prints and negatives. I curated, edited and ingested a selection of thousands of photos from freelancers and international third-party photojournalism agencies daily, and licensed and permissioned copyrighted, rights managed photo, video and text content for use in all media—for editorial, commercial and advertising.
I received an MA from Ryerson University’s Photographic Preservation and Collections Management Program in 2010, where I focused on the history of photojournalism and the use of retouching in the press in the 1930s. I hold a BFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from OCAD University, where I studied photography and curatorial practice. My first language is English. I have professional working proficiency in French.
Shoot with: Nikon D810 DSLR; edit with: Capture One Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge.
