I spent 10 years in the military as an officer, then transitioned and went to school for 4 years learning data science (2 years prereqs in math, statistics, and computer science). I have experience with data science concepts both at theoretical and practical levels. I have learned how to do statistical visualization, basic machine learning models, and also data wrangling/munging (using Python scripts to clean data). I have used R, Python, Linux, mySQL/sqLite, Tableau and even Excel. I prefer Python as my language of choice, but am flexible to go into other areas for instruction purposes.
