I'm grateful for my ecclectic experience that has allowed me to develop diverse skills. Working in Tier 1 Tech Support at Time Warner Cable refined my troubleshooting & developed my ability to solve problems with stressed-out clients. Working in a Help Desk capacity as a Business Analyst at DXC, I learned to efficiently interface with and utilize others' expertise in solving problems. During my time at DeVry, I was introduced to Linux, and later developed my skills through the classes offered at Linux Academy.
While enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado, I also studied abroad. While studying Spanish in Madrid in 2001 and working in London in 2004, I learned how to be on my own while immersed in a foreign culture. I am unable to quantify the effect of the conversations I had; the cross-cultural insights that everyone voiced made me think more critically about situations.
I definitely identify myself as a nerd. I'm often going to Comic Con, watching a Star Wars documentary, or testing a new release of a Linux distro.
I've become a well-rounded tech problem-solver and Linux advocate. In this chapter of my journey, I'm exploring a freelancing lifestyle with a focus on Linux and creative side projects. If you'd like to join me and share your story, please connect with me.
