I am a student at York University with a major in International Developmental Studies. I have previously worked for a women’s magazine called Goddess Connections from September, 2013 to January, 2014. I have interned for Media Matters Inc., a Canadian publishing house from January, 2014 till March, 2014. I am working as an online editor at Arbitrage/ Quantumrun Magazine since April, 2014.
My communication skills as well as the ability to interact with different multicultural communities will be an asset to the job I am offered. Also, I am familiar with the process of research, fact-checking and proofreading. In addition to that, I am aware of the current local and international styles, entertainment and cultural trends. I have leadership experience as well as strong organizational skills, passion for writing and an eagerness to learn. I also remain calm in urgent situations. I have experience in working under high-pressure situations and deliver good results within the allotted time.
I would be a good candidate because I am motivated, organized, dependable, creative, hard-working, outgoing, a quick learner and detail oriented. I am an extremely dedicated and this would help me in finding quick solutions to any problems that might arise during my internship.
