I did my Bachelor of Arts at McGill University with a minor in Italian Studies. I then obtained my Master's Degree in Art and Design Research at the Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art associated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona. My dissertation focused on Mexican costumbrismo and the configuration of Mexican identity through the portrayal of food in art. My paintings have been exhibited in galleries in Canada, Mexico and Spain. My visual arts portfolio can be found on my website www.moralesalejandra.com.
After completing my BA, I worked for a year and a half at Mezcal Collective, an arts gallery and café located on Prince Arthur Street in Montreal. I worked as the gallery manager, organizing events, handling public relations, and curating artwork for temporary exhibitions.
My native language is Spanish, but I am also fluent in English and French.
