I possess many transferrable skills obtained from various jobs throughout my 48 years. Starting out with a paper route and babysitting, working for Toronto Parks and Rec doing summer planning and lifeguarding for children, a brief stocking job in retail followed by a full-time banking job as a customer service rep, then transitioning over to the advertising world and ultimately a 20 year career in the newspaper industry.
I do have a 3 year diploma in graphic design as well as a certificate in Digital Publishing and Imaging from a reputable school.
While i do possess these design skills, my preference is to find employment in a customer-centric role, perhaps something that does involve some design skills, but predominantly customer service/administration and facilitating.
*LOCATION* is essential for me - must be in the east-south central area of the downtown Toronto core, no further north than Yonge/Eglinton Ave.
A sound knowledge of MAC applications - InDesign,
Illustrator, Photoshop, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat and
Distiller 7, Pitstop and font management, basic >intermediate
knowledge of Microsoft Office, professional demeanor, neat/
organized, reliable, quick learner, excellent communicator, eye
for design and a cheerful, sunny disposition.
