I like to think of myself as a wordsmith, not only because of the love that I have for the written word, but because writing is an integral part of my personal, professional and educational background. With that in mind, I feel that I could bring real value to this role.
I hold a Master's Degree in Philosophy, a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge University – C2 on the CEFR scale, and a certificate in Inbound Marketing from HubSpot. So far, I published several short stories, as well as academic papers in the field of Applied Ethics and translated the writings of eminent modern philosophers.
Currently I am employed as a Content Specialist in the Business Development department at Karanovic & Partners - the leading law firm in Eastern Europe. My daily duties consist of creating and editing content in the form of articles, blogs, newsletters, brochures, books and videos. I organize and coordinate writers in complex content projects, as well as draft strategies to help the firm achieve its digital marketing goals. Also, I am in charge of promoting that content through appropriate media and channels, using the most effective tactics.
I took the first steps in my career as a Journalist and Assistant Editor in one of the most popular daily newspapers in the region. Later, I transitioned to Wikistage – an online platform for learning and debate, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, where I was the Content and Community Manager. This was a remote position, and as a result of that experience, I learned to appreciate personal organization and individuality – especially in the context of an international setting.
Concerning personal projects, apart from writing the occasional short story, or (mostly bad) haiku, I am the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Geeks of Might and Magic - a website dedicated to all things fantastic and fictional.
I learned that with a few words, placed just so, we can evoke feelings and sensations, convey ideas and paint whole pictures. Used just right, they mean the difference between a job lost, a job well done, and an outstanding job.
