Attributes that best describes:
I have a solid educational background in translation and acquired a lot of professional experience as Translator and Reviser in an international organization and international meetings and conferences. Indeed, I was Senior Translator and Chief Translator/Reviser in the Language Services Department of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from January 1997 to June 2017, where I revised translations on a wide range of topics (administrative, political, legal, financial, economic, technical, climate change, etc.) covered by the Bank’s projects and activities. Furthermore, I translated very specialized, urgent or confidential documents that required a very high degree of accuracy, as well clarity, attention to detail, and fidelity to the message, style, spirit and nuances of the original text. More specifically, I also translated and revised translations of documents of the Bank’s Administrative Tribunal and Staff Appeals Committee. At the AfDB, I learned and increasingly gained proficiency in observing established in-house terminology and usage, carrying out relevant research for translation, working under pressure and keeping to deadlines, as well as high proficiency in the use of word processing programmes and CAT Tools. In addition, I trained and advised translators under my supervision.
Before joining the African Development Bank, I was Senior Lecturer and Secretary-General at the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI), University of Buea (Cameroon), from 1988 to 1996 where I taught translation-related subjects, supervised students working on theses, and sat on examining panels for the award of Master’s degree in Translation. I also served as Senior Translator and then Reviser at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon in Yaounde where I also worked on a wide variety of documents from 1982 to 1988.

Moses is a precise, accurate and meticulous individual. He constantly seeks perfection and is very interested in details. He is normally quiet and discreet, and will have no problem working once he receives precise instructions about what he has to do. Moses is careful and although he has some attention to detail, he also requires tasks that are varied, to avoid getting bored and to achieve maximum efficiency. He likes to think about things. Moses uses his logical and analytical skills to respond to complex and difficult problems. Moses is systematic, methodical and disciplined. In his approach to work he tends to adhere very closely to policies, guidelines and rules. He tends to observe protocol. He works more effectively and comfortably in structured, clear and unequivocal situations. Moses can work well on his own to solve problems and plan activities. He can be efficient in team work, in small groups and in one-on-one relationships. Moses will attempt to satisfy the needs of others. In general, he will respect the ideas, opinions and behaviors of others, especially those he trusts. He will feel motivated with specialized tasks, either as a team member or on his own. His authority must be based mainly on his skills and his functions can include varied types of tasks. His general approach is cautious and conservative. He prefers having a good amount of data before committing to a course of action or making a decision.
